Who doesn't love a freebie!?

I clearly am not so good at updating my blog....with my 2nd year of teaching behind me hopefully I'll find more time to do updates!  The real reason for my post though, is to share a freebie!

I know many teachers have a "treasure chest" or something similar, but I was looking for something that is very low cost!  After searching online for different ideas, I decided on using classroom coupons this past year. These are worked out great because they didn't cost me anything and I my kids loved them!

I've seen many versions of them online but most weren't free, I decided I could easily make some on my own!  For now, I've only made 6 but I'll be adding more in the future!

If you'd like to snag this freebie, you can download them here:  Class Coupons

A glimpse into my classroom!

After a full school year of forgetting about this little blog I created, I've returned!   I had a fabulous school year, I could not have asked for a better group of kiddos to spend the year with.  Future updates to come about things we did during the year!

Getting back on topic....

I'm excited to share a video of my room, it was so much fun decorating it!  My goal was to make it bright, fun and not to distracting while still feeling homey. I made everything in my classroom, very little was commercially made, much of what you see I created because of an idea I found on Pinterest.  There are a few things however, that I came up with on my own.  If you're interested there will be future posts with details about things I created for my room.

Here's a quick video of my room:
(Disclaimer:  I'm not so hot at videoing!)

I really regret not taking more pictures of my room at the start of the year, and throughout the year because it changed so much!  By the end of the year, our room looked lived in and it was much more functional then at the beginning.    The best change was getting rid of my desk, I never used it so instead I put the kidney table where my desk was and it's much more functional!

Welcome to my little piece of the world wide web!!

Let me introduce myself, I'm Mrs.Davis, the wife of an amazingly supportive man who's helped me to get to where I am today in this journey of life.  I consider myself a late bloomer, because I didn't finish college right out of high school as many do.  None the less, I'm thrilled to have finished and am eager to get out there and start my journey in the classroom!

This coming school year will be my first year to teach, last year unfortunately I wasn't able to get a teaching position.  I substituted the entire year in the district where I will be teaching this year.  I'll be teaching 3rd grade, and without a doubt that's just where I wanted to be!

I hope to post about my adventures in the classroom, this includes the good, the bad and the what in the world was I thinking moments!   I'm a bit of a domestic wife, I love to garden, bake and craft!  So I'm sure I'll throw in a few recipes or crafting projects from time to time!

I hope you'll kick off your shoes and stay for a while to join me on my journey in 3rd grade!
